Hungry Lamu 2 once again fools players with its vivid visuals and seemingly harmless objectives before revealing its dark nature. The gameplay is divided into two completely different stages, similar to its predecessor:
You will start in a 2D cartoon world that looks like a children's book. Your goal seems simple: help Lamu find food in the forest. You will interact with animals, pick fruits, and complete light puzzles in the game. This stage is designed to lull you into a false sense of comfort.
With no warning, Hungry Lamu 2 will suddenly switch to a first-person 3D survival horror experience. Now, you will control another character who wakes up in the same forest at night. There is no longer any safety in this forest. From a harmless character, Lamu has become a vicious stalker. Your goal is to find out the dark truth about Lamu and this mysterious forest, avoid predators and survive in the forest.
With additional story elements, settings, and mechanics, Hungry Lamu 2 adds depth and horror to the original version.
The forest is larger and holds many secrets. Notes, drawings and stories in this environment will provide clues about Lamu's history and transformation.
This time, Lamu is smarter. It will listen to sounds, follow traces and patrol randomly, making each playthrough more thrilling and terrifying.
Your choices in Hungry Lamu 2 are important. Depending on what you learn or how you respond to specific events, the game offers a variety of endings, some of which are scarier than the typical ones.
